Ladye Bay
A rocky, hidden inlet
Where children safely play
A Clevedon secret treasure
The lovely Ladye Bay
With water gently lapping
Upon the pebbly beach
Many steep steps leading down
The Channel shore to reach
White birds skimming westward
Across a pearly sea
Clear streams flowing downward
A babbling symphony
Sitting on a whitened trunk
From out a woodland torn
Looking down to Steep Holm
An hour beyond the dawn
The pier glimpsed round the headland
A path that leads ahead
Along the coast with views of Wales
To neighbouring Portishead
