A Simple Lesson Taught
A boy appears on paper
A pen creates a mole
But then they need a fox and horse
For friendship makes them whole
The purest of philosophies
With words distilled from thought
That love will all encompass
A simple lesson taught
The difference to each other
That everyone can make
And no one is for nothing
And all deserve some cake
Kindness gives a warming hug
To say help is at hand
For all the lost and lonely
Adrift in foreign land
Where on Earth we travel
However far we roam
When true friends are beside us
We're safe and we've reached home.
