The River Twins
Canal was overflowing
The towpath part submerged
And just when all seemed bleak for us
A biking pair emerged
Twin brother river bailiffs
Their names - Peter and Paul
We needed information
And these two knew it all
They gave us the directions
To reach a nearby lane
We called up Elite Taxis
And Ali quickly came
To Aldermaston taken
Our route to find close by
The onward pathway there rejoined
Which thankfully was dry.
