Swallow Days
In sight of Aberdovey
Beside the estuary
The little train goes rattling
Towards the distant sea
Inside the hide the swallow chicks
Waiting for their food
As parents come so swiftly
Tending to their brood
Scimming over inlet
Insects there to snatch
Then flying up to rafters
To there their catch dispatch
Will young retain the memory
This setting always know
When at the end of summer
To Africa they go?
