Edie's Ballet & School Report

 

Her teachers think she’s special

But everybody knows

It isn’t just the ballet

Keeps Edie on her toes

Her father has a double part

In fact he’s pa de deux

Role model when upon the stage

At home mentor for her

Her mother can be pretty strict

‘Bout tidying her room

And giving out a warning shot

When homework deadlines loom

And then, of course, there’s Sally

Who coached her from a tot

Like ladies they went lunching

We all miss her a lot

But Edie’s worked to make her mark

It hasn’t all been easy

And sometimes on those high up bars

It made me feel quite queasy

Our Edie’s done amazing things

To stand out from the crowd

Her Grandpa loves her very much

She always makes him proud.
