Exmouth Christmas
Red cliffs under rain-filled clouds
That sweep towards the land
Across the shuttered beach huts
That face the glistening sand
Santa hats aplenty
As families take a stroll
Letting dogs run freely
Between the breakers roll
Past Orcombe Point a waterfall
Comes rushing to the ground
And cries of happy children
Merge with the seagulls' sound
Christmas Day in Exmouth
A chance for all at least
To exercise together
Before their festive feast.
