Uphill From Christmas
It’s uphill soon from Christmas
We’re heading now for Spring
The days will start to lengthen
And gardens forth will bring
The snowdrops with their purity
Then golden daffodil
And nights will slowly shorten
As we leave Winter’s chill
We’ve passed December’s solstice
In mid-June some will say
It’s downhill now to Christmas
But that’s a way away.
