Marine Lake Dawning
Burnished mirror by the sea
Stretching to infinity
Unbroken in the dawn's gold light
High tide lapping at the wall
Beneath the oyster catcher call
Early walker there to catch the sight
Misty view of distant Wales
Blue sky crossed with vapour trails
Pagoda pier a symbol of town pride
Waters tempt the swimmers brave
With strokes to make a silken wave
And then inside a warm Dry Robe to hide.
