Sea Glass
Jewels in the pebbles
Tumbled by the sea
Polished to perfection
For art and jewellery
Fractured long lost bottles
Of brown and blue and green
Discarded by their owners
Yet found by those who glean
For treasure on the foreshore
Uncovered by the tide
Searching out these fragments
Wherever they might hide
Then to be transformed anew
Beneath a skilful hand
Another incarnation
From out the founding sand.
