Swimming-Go-Round

Round and round the swimmers go
With strokes of fluid power
Circling the man-made lake
From summer's dawning hour
Some exercise in silence
While others like to chat
Laughter 'cross the water
From bobbing bathing hat
Gradually the lakeside fills
Bathers emerge to dry
Newcomers don their costumes
A morning dip to try.
