Fairbourne's Longest Day
The longest day, the longest beach
With bleak winter far from reach
Grey-green the waves on North Wales shore
Rolling in on sandy floor
Searchlight sun at start of day
Pinpoints the houses 'cross the bay
And in the wind the seabirds cry
As larks rise up to ƙiss the sky.
