A Symphony Of Green
Afloat in deep clear water
The serried boats asway
As mist clears from the valley
To greet the dawning day
Dinghies at the jetty
Tethered in a row
Left by owners come ashore
Now strain to up and go
Out to yachts safe-anchored
Between the wooded slopes
Where sails will soon be hoisted -
Cast off the mooring ropes
Sounds of lapping water
Give background to the scene
Of peaceful sylvan beauty -
A symphony of green.
