Open Air Swimming
Arms like well-oiled pistons
Off go the swimmers all
Criss-crossing through the water
Breaststroke mixed with crawl
Some choose a swimming costume
While others wetsuits don
Changing on the lakeside
Their clothes placed there upon
No matter what the season
They come here young and old
The timid first-time bathers
To mingle with the bold
Who brave the chill in winter
Refresh in summer heat
A daily swim in open air
To make their lives complete.
