Newton Woods
A path through Newton Woodland
To reach an ancient tree
Where a creek cuts inland
To leave the estuary
Glimpses of quiet river
Framed within the leaves
The trail now heading upwards
And soon the height achieves
A gate with views of meadow
Before the way descends
Careful on the steep earth steps
As safety here depends.
