Green Snowdrops
Snowdrops on the golf course
To mark the 14th green
Dog walkers in abundance
Where golfers once were seen
Fairways missing white balls
That soared and dropped to ground
Sandy pits of bunkers
Where wayward shots were found
Clubhouse closed and shuttered
Empty car park waits
To welcome back the members
Each one anticipates
The lifting of restrictions
As Winter turns to Spring
When they can resurrect those clubs
And get back in the swing.
