Undead Ringers
Secure within their nest on high
In sight of Dad and Mum
When up a ladder silently
The wildlife ringers come
In a sack the fledglings placed
While far up overhead
The parents sound a special call
So they will just play dead
The rings attached with colour codes
Now all will know that they
Originate from this reserve
Which treasures each osprey.
