Putin's Rally of Shame
You can hold a rally
With banners held up high
While in poor battered Mariupol
The frightened children die
You keep Russia blinkered
And label truth as fake
While in a neighbouring nation
You countless widows make
In darkened basement bunkers
The trapped bed down in fear
While up above the bodies lie
Too dangerous yet to clear
Such suffering fails to move you
Of missile speed you boast
While sowing devastation
Along the Black Sea coast
The bravery of Ukrainians
Is seen across the world
Yellow, blue the colour
Of flags with pride unfurled
You sought to grow your empire
Bring back the Soviet
Instead you're now pariah
With crimes we'll not forget.
