Writing on the pavement
A message from the heart
United in our Kingdom
Together yet apart
Those giving National Service
Are vital to our Health
Our lives on them depending
They are our one true wealth
Deserving of our gratitude
As we give our applause
Their selfless daily sacrifice
Donated in our cause

It's not just doctors, nurses
And every ambulance crew
It's volunteers aplenty
They’re there for me and you
Picking up prescriptions
Shopping for each need
Caring for the elderly
Making sure there’s feed
For children of low income
The homeless on the street
And keeping regulations -
Police out on the beat
We thought the Brexit turmoil
Went on for far too long
But this pandemic nightmare
Will prove that we are strong.
