Magnificent magnolia

Arrayed in pink and white

Blooms displayed in splendour

A perfect Springtime sight

Petals that were hidden

In buds so tightly closed

Radiant in the sunshine

Their beauty here exposed

All too soon they'll fade and fall

Scattered far and wide

Leaving just a memory

For us to hold inside.
