Snow Moon
Snow moon so cool that lingers
Until the early morn
Pale light through stark trees filters
Competing with the dawn
Illuminating winter ground
Diamond-bright with frost
Delaying its departure
Until the night is lost
While summer sun's a promise
And autumn's far away
This orb remains reluctant
To cede its place to day.
