Bowled Away
Some acting roles are hard work
While others are a peach
And Doug showed lots of talent
When playing William Beech
A refugee from London
Who stole the heart of Tom
The boy had lacked all kindness
From his hard-hearted Mom
Doug strode the stage just like his Dad
His presence caught the eye
His character was brought to life
He made us laugh and cry
But when Rose Bowl award was made
He was up in the Lakes
Yet as they say in showbiz, Doug,
In life, those are the breaks.
