Ponch-odes
I’d like to have a poncho
Protecting me from rain
To keep me dry when walking
Down path and country lane
My mate he promised details
To find one on the net
But sadly I’ve heard nothing
So I’ll just end up wet.
PONCH-ODE REPLY
Your answer was so speedy
And beautifully in rhyme
I don’t know how you thought it up
Or even found the time
I went straight off to Amazon
Then Jeantex on their site
Looked first at yellow cycling capes
They didn’t look quite right
And then I spied the ponchos
For hiking and in blue
I chose the size that they call large
I’m bigger, see, than you
So when it rains in future
I know that I will stay
Dry and warm, unlike the time
On that West Highland Way.
