Summer On The Seafront
Summer on the seafront
Gulls calling overhead
Strolling in the sunshine
While others are abed
Dry driftwood in an archway
Raised upon the shore
Beneath the classic bandstand
Where music played before
Voices in the distance
Across the mirror lake
Swimmers talking gaily
As morning strokes they make
Infinity the vista
Far Wales obscured in haze
A view that surely promises
The very best of days.
