Kites A-Whirling
Like dry leaves sent a-whirling
In an autumn gale
The kites came in a-circling
Spread wings and red forked tail
Underneath a cloud-flecked sky
These raptors filled the air
Their calls alerting others
To share this bonus fare
Swooping down to snatch the food
Here scattered on the ground
Nature in its glory
And near Rhayader found.
