My anorak is waterproof

Not proof against a fool

In future when I put it on

I’ll have a golden rule

I’ll turn out all the pockets

And check inside the hood

Lest I gain some headgear

And lose a friend for good

I’ve caused you needless worry

So this small thing I beg

If your hat you would preserve
