Always and forever

Yesterday and now

Love is not the problem

It’s just the when and how

I’ve waited – how I’ve waited

For you to make your choice

Sometimes anticipated

A promise in your voice

I can’t say that it’s easy

Nor say I do not care

To know you’re with another

At night when I’m not there

And yet the chance that maybe

You could, you might, you would

Will chase away the darkness

Will make the bad times good

Always and forever

My lover, soulmate, friend

With such a bright beginning

Our love must never end.
