A path along the riverside

With cyclamen soft-lined
Fragrant honeysuckle scent
With others here combined
Above the sleeping houses
Spotlit by dawn's first light
Overhead a vee of geese
Winging out of sight
Across the water voices
As early risers meet
Ready for a chilly swim
To make their day complete
At the foot of Doctors Steps
Two sturdy chairs await
Perfect for a place to rest
And beauty contemplate.
