A glass of beer in Beer
Where valley meets the sea
A table 'neath umbrella
With happy company
Towards the far horizon
The sea in shades of blue
Gulls above the pebble beach
Echoing their mew
Chatter on the terraces
Long lunches pass the time
Looking 'cross the Channel
A setting so sublime.
