Mobile Phonies
There’s nothing like a mobile phone
For us to keep in touch
A boon for all those busy folk
Who’re always in a rush
No more tied down to landline
Their desks are left behind
Out and about or in the car
They’re easy now to find
Except some will not answer
No matter when you ring
Hide behind the voicemail
That seems to be their thing
Leave a message at the tone
And that’s just what you do
You’re told to give your number
And they’ll get back to you
But sadly these calls never come
However long you wait
It seems it is a cunning ploy
To others just frustrate
Far better to tell callers
What this all seems to say
We’re really most important
So please just go away.
