Linda's 40th Birthday
Some birthdays one can do without
Some birthdays are a bore
At twenty-one it’s all great fun
But what about two-score?
For some it’s wine and roses
For other Phyllosan
Is forty just the start of things
Or one step from Complan
Of course, our Linda’s keeping Mum
On how she stays so fit
With nappy pins and nightly dins
And that’s just half of it
The other half is pilot John
A dab hand with a jet
He flies, he sings, she clips his wings
Our neat, trim Barbarette.
