Leaves Unfurling
Soft green leaves unfurling
To clothe the branches bare
Now in Spring's awakening
Horse chestnut trees all share
Soon will come the blossom
In spikes of white and pink
Heralding new season
Providing there a link
Through Summer to the Autumn
When colours brown and gold
And falling, bouncing conkers
See in the time of cold.
