AI Adios
I’d heard that modern poets
Were flirting with AI
So in an idle moment
I gave the thing a try
I started with a simple one
Just write of daffodils
It didn’t match that Wordsworth
No sense of Lakeland hills
And what about our Concorde
Which flew above the birds
I ended up with doggerel
And just a string of words
At first the stuff was rhyming
And more than just one verse
But then it lost all metre
And went from bad to worse
So after this experiment
I know it’s not for me
I’ll weave my inspiration
In natural poetry.
