A Profusion of Buttercups
Buttercup profusion
Leading to a seat
Where a fusion of blue sky
With sea makes view complete
Larks take wing from grassland
Across the headland hill
Calm across the Channel
As wind fades down to still
Steep Holm on far horizon
Beyond the sheltered bay
Where mud flats lure the migrant flocks
All summer long to stay.
