Common Cowslips

Cowslips in abundance
Catch the early light
As sun breaks through the dawning mist
With not a soul in sight
Alone on Walton Common
With birdsong in the trees
A deer emerges quietly
But then alert does freeze
Above Gordano valley
Where slow hours gently pass
A peaceful wildlife haven
Within a sea of grass.
