Flood of Lies
A dam held vital water
But Russia saw a chance
To blow it all asunder
And halt Ukraine's advance
The devastation followed
By more of Moscow's lies
They quickly blamed the other side -
It should be no surprise
Vast swathes of land were flooded
Beneath a tidal wave
Homes were inundated
Some lives too late to save
Rescuers ran a gauntlet
Beneath the Russian shells
More killing of the innocents
More tolling funeral bells
One day there'll be reckoning
Of that there is no doubt
With Putin's crimes revealed to all -
The truth will then be out.
