Green Leaves Aren't My Desire

I have a pot of green leaves
They're from geraniums
But wonder, wonder, wonder
If flowers will ever come
The ones I planted last year
Survived the winter's frost
This Spring they looked quite pitiful
I thought that they were lost
Yet now they're sprouting pink blooms
The others put to shame
I should have bought them from our Lou
It's only me to blame.
