St Botolph's Church, Swyncombe
Built by Saxon workers
Under Norman gaze
St Botolph's Church at Swyncombe
Has stood through many days
The weddings long forgotten
The funerals laid to rest
The centuries of services
The thousands herein blessed
The lichen-covered gravestones
With names that time's erased
Surrounded by sweet primroses
With heads in tribute raised
Within stone walls a silence
As light through stained glass shines
Empty now the wooden pews
Around a peace divine.
