Ernie & Milo
Ernie was a ginger tom
Who had a feline friend
Milo was as black as night
And lived just round the bend
They spent their days together
In kitchen or on bed
They probably shared a meal or two
To make sure each was fed
But sadly Ernie did expire
A victim of a car
Travelling on Old Park Road -
He hadn't ventured far
When brought back to his owner
Pal Milo came along
A final last acknowledgement
Of friendship oh so strong
And to this day he still returns
To garden where they played
A bond that's still not broken
And one in heaven made.
