Collecting Douglas
Past Stonehenge down to Chatham
And then to Rochester
To pick up grandson Douglas
And take him back to where
At home in sunny B on A
He'll spend the summer through
Enjoying family holidays
Before the next term due
The Independent College
Has been a great success
With interesting studies
No gaming to excess
He's heading for A-levels
And we can hardly wait
Until we're back in this Kent town
To see him graduate.
