Martins Boxing Clever
In Robin Lane they've waited
For martins to come by
Winging from far Africa
From out a summer sky
The adults did a recce
When boxes first appeared
Under eaves of Grace's home
And then they disappeared
Taking news cross oceans
That here in Clevedon town
Eggs could now be safely laid
In nests of grass and down
Their offspring then delighted
When of this news to learn
Another generation
To happy here return.
