Red Carpet
Carpet rolled for Putin
The colour it was red
Reflecting there the killing
And all the blood he's shed
Absent was Zelensky
Left behind in Kyiv
Where Russian drones still fill the skies
And many widows grieve
Trump gladhands the invader
Who's brought in from the cold
A pariah of the free world
Is welcomed to the fold
A ceasefire is no closer
Who knows concessions made
The Kremlin is the winner
And we have all been played.
