Ghastly Gaza
Famine rife in Gaza
Israel look in shame
See the children innocents
Suffering in your name
Hamas the violent catalyst
That sparked Jews to respond
Righteous reply to massacres
Has now gone far beyond
Homes reduced to rubble
Chased to each enclave
Refugees of carnage
We're powerless to save
Possessions in a handcart
No dignity allowed
Loved ones left behind them
To moulder in a shroud
Scrabbling in the dusty dirt
For just a hint of grain
Even from this distance
We sense their daily pain
Families who knew harmony
And shelter of a home
Harried into danger zones
There hopelessly to roam
Where is food to feed them
Drugs and other aid
They didn't start this conflict -
For others' sins they've paid.
